The laboratory was a week-long student plein-air event with guests from Slovakia and the Canary Islands. The laboratory was organized by the Academy of Art in Szczecin as part of the Tekhne/Młode Wilki program. The week-long meetings were devoted to experimental music, sound recording and processing, collecting sounds of nature, and developing a sound map of the village of Kopice and the surrounding area.

The workshop was international and multilingual. It was preceded by a workshop on using and building your own microphones and monitoring devices, and an introduction to the term "field recording" and its mission.
